The Haeckel Clock is a interactive visualisation of time inspired by the work of Ernst Haeckel, a famous biologist and artist. The Clock uses Haeckel’s Radiolarian as units of time. With every passing second, the Radiolarians re-arrange themselves into higher groups, creating unique and ever-evolving forms of time. Our first collection, Redheads and Discomedusae, is a mix of famous painterly readheads with a sampling of pets and accessories created by zoologist and philosopher Ernst Haeckel.
