I've been fascinated by HRV (Heart Rate Variability) ever since learning about it from Dave Asprey, The Bulletproof Executive. HRV Dash is a simple game with a simple goal. Teach HRV/Coherence training in a fun game environment.
Learn to control your sympathetic nervous system through paced breathing. Breathe in as the pacer fills up, and breath out as it empties. Learn how to avoid going into fight-or-flight mode on-demand with this invaluable skill.
What seems like a basic game is really a key to unlocking tremendous personal power and resilience. I have found Coherence training to be one of the best gifts I have learned in life, and it brings me great joy to share this game with you.
Quick Physiology Lesson: Breathing in creates more space in the chest for the heart, and reduces Vagus nerve tone. As a result, the speed of your heart increases. Breathing out decreases space in the chest (increases intrathoracic pressure). This naturally causes the heartbeat to slow. Also, contraction of the diaphragm muscle is controlled by the activating the Vagus nerve, which also has a slowing effect on heart rate.
The better you get at Coherence over time, the higher the score you will be able to achieve in this fantastically difficult game. The more your practice Coherence training, notice as the effects spill over into less stress in everyday life.
