OUR PHILOSOPHY
Browse is different from other apps like Reeder, Flipboard, Digg, Feedly, Newsify, Mr. Reader, Stumbleupon, and Facebook Paper. Browse is different because the philosophy behind the app is built on these principles:
• Your content should never be rearranged on the screen. For example, apps like Flipboard and Feedly take your content and rearrange it into an inconsistent and unreliable mess on the screen. Our approach with Browse is to show you your content exactly as the content creators intended.
• Reading through list of headlines is not enjoyable. Other apps show you massive lists of stories, making you do all of the hard work of finding the interesting ones. Browse addresses this problem by fundamentally changing the way you read your RSS feeds. Rather than hunting through lists, use Browse to view each full story the way it was meant to be viewed. Because we hyperload™ your content as fast as your device can physically handle, you can still read through a ton of stories in a short period of time like you can with lists, but with Browse you won’t miss a thing.
• The most recent content is the most important. Every time you open Browse and hit the next button we immediately jump you to the most recent content from your subscriptions.
• Comfort is critical. We know you are going to get addicted to Browse and use it for hours at a time. We were very careful with how we placed buttons and navigation gestures on the screen. Browse is designed to be comfortably used for hours on end.
BONUS FOR REDDIT USERS - GET EVERYTHING THAT HITS THE HOMEPAGE
We love Reddit. We hate having to load up the front page of Reddit and hunt through a sea of purple links to find new blue links. Browse completely fixes this problem. Simply add reddit.com to your subscriptions and Browse will check Reddit all day and pull in anything that hits the front page.
We also autoload links for Reddit stories. If you’re like us, when browsing Reddit in a web browser you will go to the front page, open 20 stories in new tabs, and then start reading through them. Then, for each story you read there is usually an imgur link. You click on the imgur link, view the image, and then press back to read the comments. This process takes a lot of time.
Browse fixes this by autoloading the link tied to each story on Reddit. So, you open Browse, the app loads in as much Reddit as it possibly can, and each time you press the next button we have the link autoloaded for you. You can then swipe on the left of the screen to go back and read the comments. Once you realize how awesome this you will be addicted to Browse.
