If you are a parent who is looking to get your child interested in the Jewish High Holidays then look no further than ‘Shofar 4 Kidz’ iPhone app created by the good people at Valarmabash!®
This app is 100% geared towards small children. They can hear the sounds of the Shofar for the first time and wonder what it is.
As parents to a young child, you may not always know how to explain what the Shofar is and why it is blown during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. ‘Shofar 4 Kidz’ takes that worry right out of your hands and explains the meanings of the Shofar in a rhyming format made specifically for kids.
‘Shofar 4 Kidz’ also teaches the history of the Shofar and its uses in both past and present times. Perhaps the nicest feature in this app is the little hand-crafted story (as sweet as apples dipped in honey) about a father who tells his children the story of the shofar.
Parents can feel good knowing this app is a loving supplement to rabbinical teachings and all of the text was written by an actual Rabbi!
Did we mention the app plays all 4 sounds of the Shofar? Well, it does indeed!
