Month Calendar - Holidays right!

Are you tired of having holiday information mixed-up with your meetings and other notes in the calendar? We give you the possibility to put your subscribed calendars in own reserved holiday/names-day/flag-day fields! Still, this is a full-featured calendar product to manage/edit your meetings.

This application is verified on the official iOS 6 version. The the complete new screen size within iPhone 5 is utilized.

The application is a fast month Gregorian calendar that uses the default iPhone/iPad/iPod calendar for events. It presents a whole month with meetings in a clear view, with the weeks separated clearly with week numbers (ISO8601 or US). Sundays are of course marked with red color. Holiday account information can be configured to display the holidays as non-working red days.

This program works with any calendar that the standard Calendar can manage. E.g. you can work with the local calendar, sync through itunes, work with iCloud, Google cal., MobileMe, Outlook, iCal or any CalDav calendar.

It is scalable between three views with different details/text level and size. You can easily zoom between views using pinch two-finger gestures. Cool! You can also use swipe gestures to rapidly switch month.

The "Month" app implements several interesting functions:

✓ It is fast and stable, manages several active calendars (e.g. iCal calendars), without irritating delays.

✓ Birthdays from you device address book can be viewed also with this program.

✓ Fast links to add subscriptions of holiday calendars for Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, India, South Africa, Spain, United States and United Kingdom.

✓ Easy to paste a calendar link.

✓ The month views are compact giving a very good overview. Events are shown with compact text, instead of space-consuming graphics.

✓ Events can be colorized and displayed with normal/boldface/italic font on a per-calendar basis. Show your meetings in the style you like. This way you can also easily see the difference between your own events and your partner's calendars events.

✓ Events can of course be edited and new events can be created.

✓ A powerful date wheel is used to directly move to a new date or move to a week with a specific week number.

✓ You can search for any events/notes/birthdays within the calendar.

✓ There are three main views:
* A super-compact overview showing the whole month (without showing events)
* A slightly less compact detailed view showing events per day.
* A view with large text only showing a few days.

✓ Application icon show current day or week number. You configure this in the global device settings for this app.

✓ Localized date format as well as localized 12/24h time format

iOS 5 users should notice the that iOS 5 requires the following in order to show a badge on the program icon: Enter the device's main settings and turn on the display of the badge in "Settings-> Notifications-> Month-> Badge App Icon". In addition, also perform the usual badge selection in "Settings" -> "Month".

In the screenshots a subscription of UK/US holiday calendars has been used.

Limitations:

A This calendar works for all dates for the years 2010-2021.

B ISO 8601 week standard (EU) and US week number standard are both supported. Only the Gregorian calendar is supported.

C Headers and buttons are shown in localized language when editing and/or adding events.

D The number of events per day within the month views is limited to 5 events, due to the limited amount of space per line, in favor of getting a broad month overview. However, you will see all events if you click on a single day.

Corrected an error when running on iOS 5, causing events to be non-visible in the month view (only visible in the day view).. On iOS 6 this error does not exist.
