Odia is an Indo-Aryan language spoken by about 35 million people worldwide and mainly in the Indian state of Odisha. There are also Odia (Oriya) speaking people in the states of West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Gujarat. Odia language has many similarity with Bengali and Assamese language. This language is usually known as Oriya or Odia and also peoples of Odisha are known as Odia / Oriya People. The culture, tradition and heritage of Odisha is highly respectable. Odisha people believes in Simple Living and high thing. They are strong followers of Mahatma Gandhi. Odisha people contributed a lot for India's independence. Odisha sweet recipes like Chhenapoda and Rasagola are world famous.
