The stave gives the musician the name of the note, calculated by its position on the stave and the length of a note, designated by the design, creating two separate thought processes. Whereas in traditional sheet music, a note could be described as an A that lasts for three beats, the Stave Breakthrough technique changes this to a 3 beat A.
