With Black Out! you can set your iOS device to display either a black screen or a screenshot of your choice (preferably of the home screen or your favorite app). This will then be locked into place until the user enters a secret tap gesture that only you know!
For even more fun, combine Black Out! with Apple's Guided Access mode to truly lock down the app! See app for setup instructions.
