Riyad-us-Saliheen or Riyadh as Saliheen (The Gardens of the Righteous) is a compilation of verses from the Holy Qur'aan and hadith by Imam Abu Zakaria al-Nawawi (1233–1277). He was the great scholar of Hadith and Fiqh of his time. This book is very popular and contains useful compilation of authentic ahadith from 'Al-kutub al-sittah' or 'the authentic six books' (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi, An-Nisai and Ibn Majah). Riyad-us-Saliheen contains about 2000 ahadith organized in 19 books or sections and 372 chapters.
Hadith commentaries have been added by Haafiz Salaah-ud-Deen Yoosuf in Urdu and the English translation of the book and the commentaries was performed by Dr. Muhammad Amin and Abu Usamah Al-Arabi bin Razduq.
