THING1

The THING1 App for iPhone allows users to quickly set up THING1-based devices on their Wi-Fi network. The configuration protocol is based on SmartConfigTM technology from Texas Instruments, providing a safe and easy way to configure embedded devices for Wi-Fi connectivity. Considering that embedded applications will often lack user interfaces such as keypads or touch screens to enter Wi-Fi network name and password, the process of setting up these kinds of devices on a Wi-Fi network can be very complex. The THING1 App makes this configuration process much easier.

The THING1 App can be used together with the following products from White Systems ApS:

* THING1 Miniature Wi-Fi Module. This Wi-Fi module is available for large scale production, allowing manufacturers to easily integrate wireless connectivity into any MCU based consumer products. Because of its small form factor (physical dimension of 30mmx18mm) and embedded TCP/UDP capabilities, the THING1 Miniature Wi-Fi Module is a perfect solution for embedded Internet of Things (IoT) devices.

* Arduino THING1 Shield. The Arduino THING1 Shield allows an Arduino board to connect to a Wi-Fi and run network services such as TCP/UDP server and client. The Arduino THING1 Shield is based on the THING1 Miniature Wi-Fi Module with additional features for debugging and testing. The Arduino THING1 Shield is the perfect choice for rapid prototyping, development, and testing of Wi-Fi-enabled applications.
