PHPusoy

PHPusoy is a Philippine version of Chinese Poker, sometimes called 13 Poker. But this is more of a casino version where a Dealer controls the play.

The game starts with a dealer giving each player who joined (max of 3) a set of 13 cards,

Each one then forms 3 types of Poker hands, Back, Middle and Front Hands.

The back hand is a set of 5 cards, typical Poker Hand, is basically the best hand that a player can come up with, Poker wise, and held on the bottom part of a player's hand.

The Middle Hand is another set 5 cards based on the remaining cards that were not yet used, to form another Poker hand. But this time it should just be the better hand and is held above the first hand.

The last 3 is sort of the good hand which can be 3 of a Kind, High Card or a Pair only.

Once everybody is ready, dealer does a showdown and each player's hand tries to beat the dealer's hand.

If each player's 3 hands beat the dealer's 3 hands 2 out of 3, that player gets a point from the dealer. If the player loses 2 out of 3, then that player gives a point to the dealer.

If all 3 of any player's hands beat the dealer's 3 hands, the player gets 3x the points from the dealer. If the dealer's 3 hands beat a player's all 3 hands, then the dealer gets 3x the points from the player.

A player can 'Surrender' anytime if all three hands are bad and it is likely that the dealer will win 3 out of 3. This prevents paying the dealer thrice.

A player can also declare Royalties if the player has a Royal Flush, or 6 pairs or All Flush or All Straight. A player does this for a quick point and that beating the dealer 3 out of 3 may not be so.

PHPusoy's approach is a more laid back. A player can move around the cards until ready.

PHPusoy can be played as a single player game or with anyone close by via wifi or bluetooth, up to 3 people.
