Opened in 2005, The Thirsty Parrot Bar and Grill, or known to most locals as “The Parrot”, has become a Downtown nightlife and entertainment staple. Family owned and operated, The Parrot’s owners pride themseleves in providing an exciting, entertaining and vibrant nightlife atmosphere that is welcoming to all. The “pay no-cover charge, come as you are – just bring your smile” culture is something the owners have tried extremely hard to maintain. The staff is continually humbled by the loyal clientele and understand the value of customer service and appreciation. True Colorado natives – born and raised – the owners have a special appreciation and respect for all military servicemen and women. The Parrot has established many long lasting realtionships with its’ military customers and have even welcomed several military veterans into their employee family.
With 2 large, fully stocked bars and an occupancy of nearly 700, The Parrot can throw some pretty wild parties! The Parrot offers 2 levels of live entertainment. The Parrot is home to one of the best stages, sound system and live music venues in Colorado. Whether you’re the “seat dancing, head bobbing” type or the “full out dance floor - shakin’ your money maker” type, The Parrot is your spot. The Parrot is a very unique blend of downtown dance nightclub/concert venue - meets- local watering-hole and neighborhood bar and grill. With over 16 Hi-Def TV’s, a 20 foot Hi-Def projection screen, 6 pool tables, foosball and air hockey, The Parrot is also a perfect hangout to watch your favorite sports team, catch a UFC fight on the 20 footer, “let” your girlfriend beat you in pool, or just relax with a cheap happy hour beer after a long day at the J.O.B. The Parrot’s diverse crowd has always been the owner’s meaure of success.
Through the years, The Thirsty Parrot has hosted several national recording artists and celebrities including performances by current pop stars Jason Derulo and Gavin DeGraw, actor/producer and musician Billy Bob Thorton and The Boxmasters, American Idol contestant Hailey Reinhart, nationally syndicated radio personalities John-Jay and Rich, Blues legend Tab Benoit, appearances by Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, and many, many more. On a more regular basis, patrons can expect to party with some of the hottest local DJ’s and best local bands The Springs’ has to offer.
In addition to providing awesome live entertainment, barely believable drink specials and a fun, party environment, The Thirsty Parrot is also an ideal location for private events, such as, holiday and office parties, military banquets, etc. The top floor of the bar can be rented out for private events for group sizes of 20 to 550. In show of gratitude and respect, The Thirsty Parrot waives all room rental fees for military events. The room is always offered at no charge for our Military Heroes.
