Car Arrival Inspection (EntryPoint)
Goal :
Enable reduction of payment cycle time to carriers by 75%
Description :
Car arrival inspection (Proof of Delivery) is a novel application that provides car manufacturers, car-dealers, re-sellers and rental companies the visibility of the delivery of their car assets in quantitative and qualitative terms by the carrier at their fingertips.
The solution enables scanning of the delivery note and the subsequent VIN number of the cars (as per the delivery note) at the point of entry. This enables immediate transfer of key information to the supplier’s system.
This also makes it easy to capture damages along with photographic record of the same. This information could be communicated to the manufacturer or the distributor’s system seamlessly.
Highlights:
a) Provides visibility of exact time of arrival
b) Enables mapping of delays in arrival against agreed service levels.
c) Enables correctness of quantity and helps identify damages on arrival.
d) Enables tracking the performance of the carrier for on time in full no damage delivery immediately on arrival.
e) Removes the manual proof of delivery (POD) process.
f) Provides warnings and cause of likely detention charges.
g) Enables timely payments for credit payments where POD is the basis of payments.
h) Enables the consignor to receive online PODs and crunching the payment cycle time to carriers by 50% to 75%. The resultant cash flow advantages can be shared between the shipper and carrier.
