Tomato lovers, get ready to have some fun!
We’re excited to announce our brand new Tomato Chooser app for iPhone, which allows you to browse and sort through 333 tomato varieties. From red orbs and rich black beauties to petite yellow cherries and green-speckled zebras, the diversity of tomatoes in this app will dazzle the eyes and make you yearn for summer.
You can filter the varieties by color, size, time to maturity, disease resistance, growth habit (determinate vs. indeterminate), best uses, and more — making your discovery of the perfect varieties for your garden a snap. For instance, if you want an indeterminate variety with large, yellow fruits that matures late in the season, select those criteria and — bam! — the app lists exactly what you’re looking for.
Many varieties even include quotes by five tomato-book authors, and you can sort by which varieties have exceptional flavor, according to these tomato experts. Click on any tomato you’re interested in to see its photo and full profile, which even includes details about any known history of old heirloom varieties.
You’re bound to discover new favorites and become totally tomato-obsessed after spending time with this app!
