Masterpieces in Painting

‘Masterpieces in Painting’ is a series of applications dedicated to some of the greatest painters in the history of art: Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, Caravaggio, Monet, Van Gogh, Klimt and Munch.

An educational project by Fabbri Publishing that promotes a knowledge and love of art.

Digital and interactive monographic publications with:

rich texts to read, containing the history of art analysis of Professor Federico Zeri, a critic of international repute.
Over 500 high resolution images of masterpieces to admire, ‘touch,’ enlarge and explore in their more suggestive details.
Video commentary to accompany the more important works of art in order to ‘live the experience’ of the paintings as though on a guided tour.
Web links to the official sites of museums and other places where the works of art are displayed.

The monographs for each artist contain:
-An in-depth analysis of a masterpiece: its history, interpretation of the meaning, technique, composition, style and comparisons with other paintings.
-The biography of the painter, described year by year
-The artistic production, including development of his style and the various painting genres in his production.
-The artist’s career path, with the chronology of paintings.
-The historical and cultural context.
-The artistic legacy left to painters who were inspired by the artist.
-Documents and testimony .
