The Monetary Policy Monitor is a product of the Center for Monetary Studies (CEM), at FGV/IBRE, created in order to undertakes systematic studies on the monetary policies adopted by the major central banks of the world. Actions taken by the Central Bank of Brazil are also subject to systematic investigation. At the same time, the economists at CEM work to stimulate the interest and research on monetary economics in Brazil. As to the more academic investigations, priority is given to studies which make it possible to better understand past monetary policies and those which might contribute to influence future monetary policy strategies, both at home and abroad. The Monetary Policy Monitor App is only in English.
