With UkRunways, you plan visually. Just tap the waypoints on the map and add the to your plan or insert a waypoint in the middle by dragging your track line. Or quick-plan by typing a number of waypoint on a single line to populate your plan.

Set up your aircraft's performance from scratch or using one of our templates and, together with downloaded winds aloft, we calculate your fuel burn for you, optimised for altitude.

Next, our weight and balance feature automatically calculates your load at the start and end of each sector, warning you if you are going to be out of CG.

Of course there is also the traditional planning sheet, perfect for printing and having as backup or for dead-reckoning practice.

UkRunways turns a half-hour chore into a few minutes of fun and when the best laid plans change, you can update your plan as you fly.

Take your iPad flying on a knee board, yoke mount, window suction mount or any other available products and you'll be treated to a whole new view of your world. Big, official maps showing your position, a clear terrain and airspace ahead view and a "HUD" that can be customised to show track, bearing, distance to go, ground speed, height above ground, FIA frequency and much more.

The HSI that can be re-sized and placed anywhere leads the way and can turn any kind of waypoint into a virtual VOR with CDI and course bar.

Tapping any nearby airport on the map allows you to jump to its AIP pages for quick reference and at the start and end of your journey, the iPad acts as a clear, bright reader for SIDs, STARs and approach plates.
