Witches vs. Monkeys

Leo & Jacob this week has announced Witches vs. Monkeys, a free game for your Apple device. This is a challenging game where players use a giant slingshot to catapult broom-riding witches at winged monkeys.

You could say this is a combination of Angry Birds and The Wizard of Oz. It takes skill as players will find this 30-level game very complex. Witches come in five different colors, with different powers, but weigh the same. You would expect to find winged monkeys of various sizes, and you would be right as they sit in, on, or under collapsible stacked structures, die from direct or indirect hits, but can have several lives. A lot going on here.

The developers make no bones about it, they got the idea from Angry Birds. Witches vs. Monkeys takes the best from the classic series and makes improvements to various aspects of gameplay. Yes, players fire living projectiles from left to right across the screen. Gamers can control the direction and force of their shot when they pull back on the elastic slingshot. And players can choose between direct and indirect fire. There might even be a little luck involved.

Witches vs. Monkeys also offers a more powerful slingshot, requiring more skill to prevent undershooting or overshooting. This game will test you mentally.

Witches vs. Monkeys includes a different interactive objects placed near the monkeys, including: a witch's cauldron, crystal balls, treasure chests, gold bars, candle holders, rubies, diamonds, precious stones, and more. They can help you advance to higher levels of play.

"The monkeys are hiding in different stacked objects made of different materials, such as wood, glass, stone, and pillars," commented Eyal Katz of Leo & Jacob. "Each level is more complicated and requires a different strategy to get enough points to move to the next level."

Witches vs. Monkeys is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Entertainment category. Unlocking the last 25 levels requires an in-app purchase of $0.99.
