Discover ANSTO is a celebration of research and innovation at the Australian Nuclear Science and Research Organisation (ANSTO). This exhilarating app is presented by science publishers Refraction Media.
Discover ANSTO tells the ANSTO story from its historic beginnings to the facility today, explaining nuclear science in a compelling and clear manner, and focussing on the cutting-edge research being done globally and nationally using ANSTO’s facilities, particularly at the world-class Bragg Institute.
This iPad app takes the reader on a journey of discovery, providing readers with an insight into the beginnings of nuclear science in Australia, to the top end research facilities currently used in nuclear research, including the OPAL reactor, neutron beam instruments, the Australian Synchrotron and particle accelerator science.
Discover ANSTO is highly interactive, visually lush and boldly science oriented. Using interactive animations and video walkthroughs, the app explains how the reactor creates a neutron beam and the high-end research only possible through nuclear science techniques, using all the extraordinary interactivity made possible by the iPad.
