STORIES OVERVIEW:
Journey to the West is one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. It is a mythological novel based on many centuries of popular tradition. Journey to the West 5 is the story collection of Journey to the West with Pictures series. There are five stories: The Silk Cave, The Purple Gold Bell, Conquering Lion Ridge, Fighting with the Demon Chiefs, and Saving BiQiu Country.
★The Silk Cave: Tang Seng arrived at a beautiful house and got food by himself. But he was caught by the Spider Demons. Wu Kong defeated demons’ children, and set fire to the Silk Cave. The Spider Demon’s older brother took revenge for them, but was defeated by the Lanpo Buddha on Ziyuan Mountain.
★The Purple Gold Bell: Tang Seng and his disciples continued their journey and arrived at ZhuZi country. Wu Kong and the Queen played tricks to steal the Purple Gold Bell from the demon. The demon lost his treasure and was defeated by Wu Kong. With the Queen’s returning, the King’s illness was cured instantly.
★Conquering Lion Ridge: Lord Tai Bai warn them that there were many devils on the Lion Ridge. Wu Kong and BaJie defeated the 3 demon chiefs. Then, the chiefs asked their demons to carry Tang Seng inside a comfortable chair over the mountain.
★Fighting with the Demon Chiefs: The demon chiefs sent Tang Seng and his disciples to their nest—Lion Country. They all had been captured. With the help of the head Buddha, Wu Kong rescued Tang Seng, BaJie and Monk Sha.
★Saving BiQiu Country: Tang Seng and his disciple arrived at Biqiu Country. They helped the King defeated demons and saved 1100 children.
