OnMedica

OnMedica is designed for healthcare professionals who want instant access to daily information and bite-sized learning. Our App includes an innovative drug reference database, essential for healthcare professionals on the move.

OnMedica is by OnMedica.com, the leading online medical publication for daily news, views, blogs and learning.

The App includes three key sections:

News
- OnMedica news is independently written daily by our team of medical journalists and covers all the key issues in primary care in the UK
- New articles are delivered to the OnMedica App every day.
- Articles are cached for offline reading and removed from your device after 30 days (7 days for general news)
- Bookmark articles to keep them on your device for up to three months.
- Share articles by email or Twitter.

5-a-day
- The OnMedica 5-a-day programme provides innovative bite-sized CPD to our members, enabling our users to test and refresh their knowledge daily whilst earning appraisal credits
- A new module with 5 questions based around a particular case or topic delivered to the OnMedica App every day
- Questions are cached so that you can answer them whenever it suits you, with or without an internet connection
- Each question features detailed feedback and links to external references
- Each question offers the ability to claim for one appraisal credit via the OnMedica PDP tracker
- View your PDP account information within the app and see how many CME hours you've logged and how many credits you have to convert.
- Question modules have a passrate of 80%. Failed modules can be tried again immediately

ODR (OnMedica Drug Reference)
- ODR is an innovative drug reference database for healthcare professionals with comprehensive information on over 2,000 drugs and 20,000 products
- ODR is designed to be used “on-the-move”, with or without an internet connection
- ODR contains information on dose, indication, pack size, price, drug interactions and adverse drug reactions.
- Symbols and icons are used to highlight information on prescribing in pregnancy, breastfeeding, liver and kidney disease and drugs in sport.
- Drugs are grouped by category and easily browsed or searched
- Monthly updates are delivered direct to the App*

* The ODR database is available for free for 31 days from when the App is first installed. After this time users will need take out a subscription from within the App to maintain access. Users can choose to purchase either a 1 month, 6 month or 12 month subscription period. Subscriptions are non-renewing and automatically synced between devices.

OnMedica may be used without registration for up to 7 days from when the App is first installed. Users will need to complete a quick registration process (in the App or at OnMedica.com) for continued access to the App and its content thereafter.

If you already have an OnMedica login from OnMedica.com or our other App, MRCGP Pro, then you do not need to register again - simply log in with your existing username and password. If you have forgotten your password, please visit http://www.onmedica.com/forgotPassword.aspx for a reminder.
