People call me the Cloudboy.
I often ask myself: why obsess with clouds?
This portfolio documents the experience of being in a foreign land with substantially different language, culture and environment, self-expression does not come as readily and naturally as before. Thoughts and feelings are trapped within the mind, struggling to be comprehended and expressed. The vast and sparse Central Victorian landscape and unobstructed view of the horizon draw the eye upward to the dramatic and dynamic overarching sky. As they mount and move across the sky, clouds become a language for the fleeting thoughts and emotions that remain unspoken and silent, provoking ideas about both transcendence and inwardness. Where Is My Cloud? is a documentation of my obsession with clouds and the introspection it brings.
