TripLingo is the most complete, beautiful, easy, and FUN way to learn Dari, period. This free version of TripLingo was created especially for U.S. Armed Service personnel and NGO workers serving in Afghanistan. Military phrases are based on the Defense Foreign Language Institute's field guide.
TripLingo focuses on the phrases you actually need. We'll show you formal, casual, slang & crazy ways to say each phrase.

TripLingo is a fun, personalized language guide that helps you talk like the locals and make the most out of your travels. Learn Dari the way people in Afghanistan actually speak it. TripLingo is designed to help you to learn and also communicate on-the-go.
Based on your unique interests, planned activities, and personality, TripLingo creates a customized phrase list to help you focus on the phrases you actually need.
For each phrase, TripLingo includes TWO audio examples per phrase (one pronounced slowly) AND a phonetic spelling of each phrase. TripLingo Dari helps you get beyond the words by including information on how each phrase relates to the local culture.

The Slang Slider allows you to communicate with everyone from a grandmother to your peeps in the club. Sliding the handle quickly changes the phrase from formal to colloquial, slang, or outrageous ways to communicate. This feature moves a traveler from just communicating to real interaction – now you can interject personality.
INTELLIGENT FLASHCARDS
Speed your learning process by using the intelligent flashcard system. By using spaced repetition, scores and badges, and progress indicators, TripLingo makes retention entertaining and easy.
DICTIONARY, WORDBANK, AND CULTURAL INFO
The dictionary has over 2,000 words and audio examples for fast access to less-common words. A list of travel situations helps you drill down to the phrase you are looking for.
