Welcome to the first version of our quit smoking virtual game NICOT©
Our clinical study demonstrated that crushing virtual cigarettes reduces tobacco and treatment discontinuation. The rate of abstinence reached 15% in the twelfth week for game users as opposed to 2% for placebo (CyberPsychology and Behavior, Vol. 12, No 5, 2009, p. 477-483).
We suggest using the game in a secure environment as often as you are attacked by an urge to smoke. The purpose of the game is to find and crush as much cigarettes as possible in a virtual environment within a time laps for a period of twelve weeks.
