This is a simple, quick tax estimator for 1040 federal income tax. You might have heard IRS has stopped mailing each taxpayer instruction booklets starting in the 2010 tax season. Taxpayers can no longer search for their taxes on the booklets. No worries! Now you are only a few clicks away from estimating your federal income tax by using this easy 1040 Tax Estimator!
This estimator provides two most important pieces of information you need to know about your tax:
1. Tax Estimator: By entering minimal tax information, you can estimate the amount of your federal income tax.
2. Tax Rate: By entering minimal tax information, you will also find out about your marginal tax rate and your effective tax rate.
2010/2011 Tax Rates: You will be able to switch and use either one of the tax year rates on-the-fly without inputting all of the information again!
Hot-Shot Mode: This is the quickest way to identify your marginal tax rate! By entering only your filing status and taxable income, we will instantly show you your marginal tax rate and the amount of your tax liability!
Email Summary: You may email a copy of your estimation summary anytime from the summary screen.
