OnLive Viewer is the first cloud gaming app for a mobile device. High-performance OnLive servers, perhaps thousands of miles away, instantly respond to every touch of your finger, create the entire OnLive experience remotely, and then send the video through the Internet to appear on your iPad screen. Your iPad is like a touchscreen display attached to a giant supercomputer in the cloud.

Because this is so new and complex, we’re starting by just enabling a handful of features with very limited iPad integration. But the possibilities of what we can do with OnLive combined with iPad—both for gaming and other applications—are endless. What you are seeing today is just the very tip of an enormous iceberg.
