There are advertisements everywhere nowadays, keeping luring and arousing our material desires and vanity. It becomes more and more important to teach our kids how to distinguish what they need from ehat they want. If your kid asks for a pair of two-thousand-dollar sneakers, do not turn him down immediately.
Ask him: what are the differences between such sneakers and the others; are there enough money to pay for it; if not, what can he do? Give him a chance to think about his need and to meet his need by proper ways.
