The Indiana Roof Ballroom, affectionately called the “Roof,” has been an important part of downtown Indianapolis for nearly a century. It has hosted many famous performers, weddings, galas and receptions while creating the breath-taking illusion of twilight in an old-world villa.

The Indiana Roof Ballroom first opened in September of 1927. Designed in the motif of a European village, no detail was left out. Painted grapevines creep up plaster columns and stucco facades boast exquisite detail, including ornate balcony and doorway railings. The soaring 30-foot ceiling above the balcony that surrounds the room appears to be a starry blue night sky with a shimmering crescent moon, creating the illusion of being outside.

Now, using your iPad, you can take a tour and see the true grandeur of this elite establishment right in the palm of your hands!
