With over 14,000 life forms of all the major taxon's, Life Forms of the World - A Comprehensive Life Form App can serve as a reference tool, field guide and identification aid for life science professionals, educator's and students.
This summary product includes single image profiles for over 5,500 insects, 5,700 plants and 2,800 animals. Additional entries are provided for marine life (500) and microbiology & molds (200).
Available display methods include browsing and drill down by common name, by latin name, by taxonomy, by geography and with or without thumbnail images. Views of the life form include the image summary view (limited to a single image), the narrative view and the taxonomy view.
A free sampler, eLifeFormsW - A Search Life Forms Sampler is available for free download and review. We strongly recommend all interested customers download and sample the demonstration version before buying our paid for products. This "try before you buy" policy allows for interacting with the user interface, content sampling and overall review of the presentation. As regular user's of wild life reference materials, we believe our products are best positioned as a supplement to the field guides, software identification tools, atlases and other animal and plant life compendiums and not a replacement.
