We at idvance LLC® are pleased to introduce iAllosaur® Version 3! 150 million years in the making, iAllosaur lets you step back deep into the time of dinosaurs and brings to life a lost world. iAllosaur presents "a virtual terrarium" or "an interactive dinosaur diorama", requiring you only to tap the screen of your iPhone to introduce dinosaurs or affect their behavior.

Despite the inclusion of one bit of dinosaur battle, overall the app is meant to deliver a soothing experience - you can relax just as a voyeur of a prehistoric time, much as if on a safari - or perhaps as you would enjoy a virtual aquarium or zoo. To use another metaphor, as you tap, you might even find it soothing in a manner similar to a pachinko game...

While we at idvance LLC also appreciate 3D art when done right, please consider that iAllosaur is by far the most artistically ambitious virtual pet application produced for the iPhone through traditional 2D illustration (animation through hand-drawn individual frames). If you appreciate illustration and animation as great art forms, you will recognize this app as the uniquely ambitious project it is.

iAllosaur delivers the latest scientific information on each species it presents and is meant to be educational as well as entertaining. If you are a parent, a teacher, a paleontologist, or a student fascinated with dinosaurs or natural history, you will appreciate iAllosaur as an attempt to deliver as realistic a representation of a particular time and place as possible.

One Limitation/Caveat: iAllosaur delivers a much richer experience on iPhone 3GS or equivalent iPod Touch models - less will be seen on older hardware that is more memory constrained...
