Viola Black is the free everyday current account and prepaid card for everyday people. As part of Viola Money, we believe that money management should be a necessity, not a privilege. No matter who you are, where you are from or how much you earn, opening and using your Viola Black current account is simple, exactly how managing your money should be.
Open your account for free with a straightforward ID process. All you need to open your Viola Black current account is a government-issued identification document such as a passport or a UK Driving Licence and proof of address and you are good to go!
What is included with a Viola Black current account?
A simple dashboard that gives you a complete overview of your balance, expenditure and current account in real time, all in the palm of your hand for on the go money management.
Separate current account and a prepaid card providing you with more control and security.
Send money instantly to family and friends and receive payments with your sort code and account number, our account notifications will always provide you with instant updates.
View direct debits and set up scheduled payments in-app and access your payment schedule calendar so you have a complete overview of your pending transactions.
Misplaced or lost your card? No need to worry, our instant lock feature enables you to lock your card immediately within the app. When you find your card, you can simply unlock it.
Viola Black Premium offers you additional features including Viola Family and currency capabilities.
With the Viola Family feature, you can add up to 4 prepaid cards for family members between the age of 8 – 18 years of age. View each card balance and transaction history, receive fund requests and transfer money to your family members in seconds.
Convert and hold currencies in multiple accounts and easily send money to family and friends in over 37 currencies to 200 countries.
Your Money Is In Good Hands - We are not a bank. We are authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as an e-money institution (FRN 900893). Your current account money will be securely held in segregated client accounts at a UK regulated bank in accordance with the FCA requirements. FSCS protection does not apply.
