WhosIn Events

Coordinating plans with your friends is a lot of work. Some people won’t respond unless you reach out to them directly. There’s always someone who asks “who else is going?” Getting in touch with friends you don’t see every day is difficult because you don’t know who’s available and if they’re interested in what you want to do, even though they might be happy to join and you’d be happy to have them. What’s worse is if people say they’re coming and then flake out, but it’s hard to be the one who says “tell me by this time or don’t bother”.

These are just a few of the problems we run into when trying to get together to do something with our friends. WhosIn is an attempt to solve these problems, by employing the following features with a simple UI:

Create an event that says what you want to do, where you want to do it, when you want to do it, the range of people you’re looking for, and critically, when you want to know by so you can confirm the event! 

Save events you’re interested in but can’t commit to just yet so they’re easy to reference later. 

Message and chat with friends in the app through the Messages Tab or through an event chat for your event.

See an event you think a friend would be interested in going to? Share the event to them.

How to use WhosIn:

Create an event.
Select the friends you want to see your event. Only the people you invite will be able to see your event at all.
When your confirmation time comes around the friends who have joined your event or saved it will get a push notification reminding them that the event is confirming soon.
If your minimum number of people is hit at confirmation time, everyone gets a notification that your event is confirmed!
