Berz Gallery of African Art is one of the world’s leading dealers and specializes in antique and authentic African art. With galleries in major cities like San Francisco and Mexico City for nearly two decades, Berz Gallery is a regular participant in the most important vetted fairs in the world of tribal art and has a reputation for integrity, a strong aesthetic, and a high degree of knowledge and scholarship in the field of African art.
For the first time, this 2017 auction has no buyer's premium (0%), no reserve, and very low starting bids; it provides the bidder an opportunity to acquire superb works of authentic African art, most of which have been exhibited at the most prestigious committee-vetted tribal shows in the world, and often published in books or catalogues of high regard or de-accessioned from museums.
And unlike nearly all traditional auction houses, for each object, the buyer is provided a complete dossier and certificate of authenticity from the host and any accompanying documentation, or relevant historical information that relates to the object. You can have confidence that this auction is being held by those with very high standards of integrity and a focus on exceptional customer service, whose objective is to make this auction experience the most positive it can be.
