In today's bandwidth-hungry world your Internet link will become saturated if you have no control over it. Through the Plexus Controller, you will be enabled to perform most used control and management functionalities over the network traffic:
- Restrict access or rate-limit on a per device or per network (VLAN based) basis
- Set restrictions based on traffic type
- Configure accounting limits per each access network

Define your own events and actions, automating the most common network-based operations. The Plexus Controller includes capabilities to define events and actions over any metric monitored, which will simplify the life of the on-board engineer. » How does it work and what do I need? - Bringing it all together
In a nutshell, the Plexus Controller is a Linux box that interfaces between you and the sophisticated and complex network devices onboard such as the Cisco router, iDirect modem and antenna control unit.
For the Plexus Controller to work you will require a Cisco-based Plexus Router. Additionally, for advanced LAN features, a Plexus network based on VLAN aware Cisco devices will be necessary.
