The app is able to accurately record your track in the background on sacrifice of battery life. The recorded track can be viewed on map or exported. However you can choose to start or stop recording track in the background at any time to save battery life.
Please be reminded that continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Description:
TrackMe is personal application through which user can easily track all the locations you he/she has visited. It is a simple app that helps user to track his/her own locations on date wise. The app will help user remember where he/she was yesterday, the day before yesterday or a year ago. User can view and manage his/her location history information more easily. User can find tracks, locations, places where he/she has been and can view his/her individual distance, which he/she covered, check the time that he/she spent using TrackMe app. The app can also displays all the records of all the places, tracks, locations, where user has been, on the map.

Key Features:
1 Collect Location Accurately in the Background
User will set an interval time for the frequency of collecting activity, such as every 1 minute, every 5 minutes, every 10 minutes, etc. TrackMe will collect location information including time stamp (Ms), latitude, longitude, accuracy, velocity, altitude and vertical Accuracy.
2 Summarize Location History (under development)
The app will provide a summary report to user for a certain duration, such as daily, weekly, monthly or other selected period. The report will include total travel distance, maximum speed, highest altitude, lowest altitude, farest distance from home address,
3 Display Track History on Map
The app is able to show detailed track for a selected period on google map. It could be daily, weekly, monthly or any chosen period.
4 Share on Social Network (under development)
The summary report in 1.3.2 and track map in 1.3.3 can be shared on social network such as Facebook. The format will be a screenshot.
5 Import and Export Raw Data
Location data will be stored locally in a database. However, the import and export data will be in the same JSON format as the one google location history uses. This will increase compatibility with google service.

Idea Innovation:
1 High Transparency of Collecting Activity
User is able to control how this app collects location. For example, user is allowed to change interval time between two location point, or even stop collecting. User may also manually collect current location if he/she wants.
2 Full Control over Raw Data
Location data will be stored locally in a database, but raw data could be imported and exported easily using JSON format. For example, user can Email raw data to their own account.
3 Data Format Compatibility
Raw data format used in importing and exporting is the same JSON format as Google Takeout (https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout/custom/location_history) uses. Therefore, TrackMe will be able to accept existing location history from Google and display back in the app.
4 Privacy Protection
TrackMe cares about privacy very much. The app will never collect user information and there is no need for registration. The only information the app needs is location itself. While importing or exporting, the raw data will be anonymous. User may manipulate, backup, share his/her data at his/her own needs, but should take care of risks by himself/herself.
