Squad now has…
WEEK LONG CHATS! For those of you who can only get hype on the weekends, match chats now last a glorious 7 days since the last message sent. That gives you a whole week to figure out a plan with your matches, so no more excuses (we’re looking at you Mike).
DISTANCE FILTER! It’s time to hit that Discovery Preferences page again because we added a slider for selecting a maximum distance. Only want to see squads close by? No problem. Want to make it a little wider? That’s cool too.
CHAT HEADS! If you’re asking yourself WTH does that mean, it’s little profile pictures that now appear at the top of the conversations to remind you who you’re chatting with! You have enough to remember, we’re trying to make it easier ;).
BYEEEEE TO EXPIRING INVITES! Want your squad invites to last as long as your relationship with your BFF? Now they do.
TAGLINE NOTIFICATIONS! Nobody messes with my tagline. The second someone in your squad changes it, you get a notification so you can make sure it’s on point.
GENDER SELECTOR! Worried your squad isn’t showing up to the right people? Head to the “Edit My Profile” page to see and change the gender option we got from Facebook when you signed up.

This rollout of Squad means more fun for everyone! Now you can FILTER SQUADS BY AGE & GENDER, and getting friends to join your squad is wayyyy easier!
For the detail-oriented, here's a list of stuff we've made better for YOU!
-You can now check out other squads even if your squad is empty (your swipes won't count though, so invite a friend fast!!)
-When you leave a squad, we automagically make a new squad for you (this is the pretty part) so all you have to do is add a friend.
-We do a better job of letting you know when your squad is "officially" qualified to swipe and get matches (i.e. when the first person accepts your squad invite).
-There is now better location sharing, that you can actually open in maps (hint: use it to meet up in real life!).
