Certain characters seem to portray quite suitably our digital images with their ability to describe the pixel dimensions and colors of our images quite well.
Being a traditional photography hobbyist myself, with possessions of vintage cameras dated as early as the late 1900's up until the golden era of 1960's where compact camera came to shine and conquer, I am still very much fascinated and enamored by the feel of and the natural "aging" of the camera prints. The result is not exaggerating nor is it flattering - it is noticeable, however, subtle, because the aging process is natural.
By transforming and thus applying my experiences with traditional camera into the digital form, paired with the technique of drawing images with ASCII characters, AsciiAmby presents the aforementioned result.
With AsciiAmby, one gets to experience the aforementioned "vintage" of prints, however, in digital form. Each set of images has its own subtle variation of "vintage-ness".
What's more: AsciiAmby enables you to also share the images on your Facebook, Tweeter and e-mail. Once shared, one gets to see this image printed in real-time on the main page.
With AsciiAmby, the goal is to transform that subtle "vintage" of camera prints into digital form. The result is a natural, subtle form like that of our old traditional camera prints that reminiscence the past and carriy an ambience that does not protrude nor is it exaggerating.
