This App can be used in combination with instruction in laboratory or lecture courses at the undergraduate, graduate and professional levels. It can also be used by individuals for self-study of embryonic development.
Visualize serial cross sections of embryos at different time points in development, while referencing the position of the section.
Select images that have been color enhanced to help identify the structures in the embryo. Rotate three-dimensional models of the embryos to evaluate the structural complexity of the organs and tissues.

Organism selector to choose chick or frog embryos, and time point selector to choose which time point in development to view.
Image type selector for visualizing non-enhanced (standard) serial sections and associated three-dimensional model, or enhanced, color-coded images, or isolated images with background tissue removed.
Slide selector to choose which section of the embryo will be visualized as a serial cross section.
Three-dimensional models that can be enlarged to full screen and rotated in the X and Y axes.
