Hello! I'm Mr. Maverick Puah, the founder of Chemistry Guru!
I graduated from NUS with an Honours (2nd Upper Class) Degree in Chemistry, was in Dean's List for 3 consecutive years, and was a PSC Scholar (Teaching). I have years of teaching and lecturing experience in a Junior College, and several more years in private tuition.

My passion for teaching Chemistry spurred me on to start Chemistry Guru in 2010, and I have been teaching hundreds of students and Making Chemistry Simpler for them ever since! My students have consistently achieved 70-80% Distinction in A Levels for H2 Chemistry. What makes me even more proud is the fact that most of my students are not from top JCs (or neighbourhood JCs).
My lessons are structured and well-paced. Each topic will be taught in detail and summaries and practice questions will be provided. I will also go through the solutions to questions and highlight the important concepts and methods to writing out clear and concise answers.

I will also share common mistakes that are usually made so that students would be able to avoid them. Last but not least, secrets to how teachers set and mark exam questions will be revealed so students would be more prepared to get that distinction for H2 Chemistry!
