With the Horus app, you can the ability to use the time needed to mobilize the authorities. With Horus, they will be ready for serious cases because they will already have the predefined profiles of your loved one with pictures, and can respond within seconds. Even when you are on vacation in a country, and do not speak the local language, you can adjust the alarm to your location and ask local people for help in your area.
In ensure maximum security, the profiles created will only be stored on your smartphone. Your profiles' data will first be transferred to the server when the alarm has been triggered and then made public.
You have the option to choose between 3 different types of alarms. The Alarm Type 1 is broadcast in a radius of 20 km, which will be increased automatically to 40 km after 15 minutes, and a maximum of 60 km after 30 minutes. Alarm Type 1 will be triggered when abduction is highly likely. Alarm Type 2 will be broadcast in a radius of 2 km and will be automatically increased once after 30 minutes by an additional 5 km. Alarm Type 2 indicates a runaway condition, such as when you cannot find your child at a big event or a person in need of care has runaway. Alarm Type 3 will be broadcast in a radius of 20 m and ultimately serves to test the functionality of the app.
Registration by SMS is necessary as a quick secure measure to prevent abuse. If we were to avoid this, the Horus users would defend themselves anonymously and might trigger false alarms. If an alarm is triggered, all communications related to the triggered alarm must be saved for possible court cases.
If a Horus helper responds to your alarm using the Found (green) button, the helper can send you a message and you will automatically get the helper's phone number, so that you can make contact with the helper.
