Earprint™ by Psyx delivers an unparalleled listening experience in any surround environment (especially in the car). Welcome to portable luxury audio.

Presets are so 80's. Each of our 6 color profiles account for changes in listening environment, user preference, tempo/era/genre, etc. Tap the color to engage, then tap again to turn off. "Off" let's you hear the song in its original, unprocessed state. We suggest you choose a color, turn it off, then choose another color, turn it off, etc. You will always prefer 1 color you like the best for that song in that listening environment. Earprint™ will remember your selection for the next time you play the song.

We are published contributors to the science of human auditory perception and have over 40 years of experience developing technologies for each stage in the ecosystem: content creation, mixing and editing, broadcasting and streaming, and consumer playback. We developed the Psyx app after more than a decade of research and innovation in the areas of listening fatigue and human perception. Compressed music causes hearing fatigue for a number of reasons and we have identified the 4 main areas of concern:

Dynamics, Image Width, Artifact Management, and Articulation.

EarPrint Color Profiles:
We have included 6 EarPrint Color Profiles that allow you to select the best possible fit based on the following factors:

1) The amount of compression in the song
2) The era of the song
3) The playback medium (cars, docks, soundbars, home systems, etc)
4) Background noise
5) The condition of the listener's hearing
6) The listener's expectations

There is no "correct" color, and we purposely do not use terms like "pop" "rock" "hip hop" because that has nothing to do with what you want (or expect) to hear. Choose the color YOU like the best, and Earprint will even remember it the next time it is played. Each color profile displays a description, an image map illustrating front vs. rear image management, and its level of artifact correction.

Earprint is a technology that allows us to capture an exact 3D model of a person's hearing system. We have been working with Grammy award winning recording artists, producers and engineers to offer these additional Earprint Colors within the Psyx app (coming soon).
