Camera Operator magazine is the Journal of the Society Of Camera Operators founded 1979 in Los Angeles, California USA. Our award-winning periodical is published 4-times yearly with complimentary issues for members, but subscriptions are available to anybody interested in the best of the Motion Picture & Television industry. Membership consists mostly of Camera Operators who are expert in their field and are vetted by our Membership Committee and voted on by the entire Board of Governors. The SOC has categories of membership entitled Associate for those who are Cinematographers, Camera Assistants and others in the Industry. We also have a strong base of Corporate Members; and a brand new category for Educators who augment our Student Membership.
