Acorn is a location-based mobile app that allows you to send messages and reminder (called “acorns”) to yourself and others at specific locations, so your intended recipients are notified of your acorns when they are nearby!
Acorn is currently US only. International user support is coming really soon!
Acorn has been designed for use with iPhone 5/5s.
Acorn has been optimized to use minimal amounts of energy for location acquisition so while the app is in the background, your precious battery life won't be affected greatly. In fact, if your battery is below 30%, Acorn will automatically turn itself off so it won't waste any more of your battery. Despite this, it should be noted that continued use of GPS running in the background under certain circumstances can dramatically decrease battery life.
We take privacy very seriously. Unlike other location-aware applications, we never store our users' locations on our servers.
