When Tommy bursts into Laura’s bedroom one night to tell her that his toy-dog has been taken away by nasty monsters, Laura assures Tommy that it was just a bad dream. But when she accompanies Tommy to his room and they are unable to find the toy dog, Laura starts to believe that monsters really have taken him.
Thankfully, Laura’s Star knows what to do. Magical star dust turns Tommy’s bed into a boat and together they glide off into to the City of Dreams. They are confronted with row upon row of doors behind which dreams are kept, waiting to be collected by the dream-messengers. Laura’s Star helps them find the right door, but when they open it they come face to face with the dream-monsters. With the help of Laura’s Star, they are able to drive the monsters off.
