The Quest: After another temper tantrum, T-Rex becomes ashamed of his anger! When he notices a peaceful herd of long necks playing in the lake, T-Rex begins a quest to replace his anger with compassion. This app storyline demonstrates overcoming faults of all kinds, and includes an imaginatively funny ending turning T-Rex into a mashup "Rexneck," a metaphor for how we all become more after we overcome difficult experiences.
Teaches Children: The T-Rex Wants To Be A Long Neck app teaches children to work hard toward a goal no matter what, with 70 animations, 35 sound effects, music, dramatized narration AND an imaginative and unexpected ending. Add to your cart and teach children that accomplishing difficult things changes us into something more, and perseverance is worth it!
App Details: Tapping or swiping the stars can knock down a tree with T-Rex's tail, send a pterodactyl soaring in the sky, hatch a baby dinosaur egg, and much more. The icons on the left release a variety of sounds effects, including a volcano erupting, T-Rex roaring or even the boom from Long Neck whipping his tail.
App Developers: You may recognize the names of author Valerie Harmon and illustrator Carol Stevens from their children’s picture book series available on Amazon. The narration for this app is dramatized by Harmon in a soothing voice perfect for bedtime. Stevens has created animations that are both endearing and funny.
