"Near Me Food" searches for local restaurants/take-away/shops around you from the food styles/types listing.
You can PHONE, NAVIGATE, VIEW on map to the selected place from the list returned in the search.
"Places search API" is used to get the search list and displays in a list view.
Clicking on the search result item will display the location in map-view.
Click on the "INFO MARKER ON THE MAP" to show the phone or navigation options.
Settings :
Using settings you can change the search radius and distance units(miles or km)
Since it is a "LOCAL" search, maximum allowed radius is restricted.
Notes :
1. Data Allowance
Search and use navigation will affect the mobile data allowance if not connected to a WI_FI network.
2. Number of search results
Number of search results are limited to 60 at a time (places api restriction).
Reduce the radius (if not set to the minimum) to get accurate results if the maximum number of records are returned.
3. Accuracy of the location
Accuracy of your location depends on the location received from the GPS or location services, which could lead to varied results list. Also location services needs to be enabled for this app.
4. Wrong place/place does not exist
search will return wrong results if the place no longer exists/has moved and not been updated by the business
5. Some of the older devices support NO voice in apple map navigation
