A: It enables a pregnant lady to find a 'Bump Buddy' (another pregnant lady who is due to give birth around the same time and / or lives nearby).
Q: Why would a pregnant lady want to find a Bump Buddy?
A: For friendship and support through the highs and lows of pregnancy. To share their experience - the aches, pains, scan photos, bump photos, birth plans, birth stories... From baby news :) to baby blues :( and babies first shoes :D
Q: How does it work?
A: The user registers a username, their due date (or estimated due date if they are in the early stage of their pregnancy) and their location. They can then browse the list of Bump Buddies and make contact with as many as they like.
Q: What if the user wants to keep their personal details confidential?
A: They simply register a username of their choice instead of their real name. Every Bump Buddy has a personal profile where they share information about themselves and their pregnancy. They can put as much or as little information as they like.
Q: What other measures are in place to protect a users privacy?
A: There is no open forum on the My Bump Buddies App. All contact is made via messages. Only the sender and receiver of the message will be able to view its content so users can be sure that their conversations will remain private. Users can also delete their account at any time.
