Newā cuisine (Newari cuisine) is a subset of Nepalese cuisine that has developed over centuries among the Newars of Kathmandu, Nepal. Newā cuisine consists of over 200 dishes. It is more elaborate than most Nepalese cuisines because Kathmandu Valley has exceptionally fertile soil and enough wealthy households to make growing produce more profitable than cultivating rice and other staples. Furthermore, food is a key part of Newari culture.
Newā Cookbook is an effort to bring this Newā cuisine to the world. This cookbook contains 27 recipes covering 4 of the most important sets of Newā cuisine.
1. Sagaṅ - An offering for good luck and harmony of the five elements of nature.
2. Samey Bajī - A traditional set popular in festivals and celebrations.
3. Bhwey - An iconic feast.
4. Marī - Sweet dishes for the sweet tooth.
This cookbook has a photo for every step so that the recipes are easily understandable. Cook with full confidence without any confusion.
