Stand with Women of the Wall! Get the NEW Women of the Wall App
Download the free app to walk through the Western Wall (Kotel) and find Anat Hoffman, Women of the Wall Chair, along the journey to liberate the Kotel. She is waiting for you at the entrance right now!
· As you walk through the virtual Kotel, see the sights and get to know the holiest site in Israel.
· Look for Anat Hoffman! She is waiting for you to join her and the rest of the courageous Women of the Wall as they continue to work towards women’s full freedoms.
· Upgrade to see a more detailed setting and meet the rest of the Women of the Wall and their supporters, all along the Kotel plaza and at the Wall.
The Western Wall is the holiest site in Israel and an important prayer site for Jews all around the world. It is also a public, government run space in Israel, in which women do not yet have equal rights to religious freedoms. Until recently, women were forbidden and arrested for praying out loud with prayer shawls at the Kotel. Now that we have these freedoms, we are confronted each month by protesters and violence. Still, women remain forbidden from reading the Torah at the Western Wall and Women of the Wall will continue to work towards the complete equality and freedom of women at the holy site.
In this app, you get to see the Western Wall and upgrade to meet the Women of the Wall!
