f.moment is the fleeting moment. Captured.
It's not a still, it's not a video.
It's simple: You know when you make a sequence of pictures with burst mode on your camera, then quickly review them on the back of your camera and it 'plays' almost like a movie? That's a captured fleeting moment, that's what f.moment allows you to experience on your iPad, in high resolution, with fine control.
To use f.moment:
• Take a sequence of pictures on your camera (DSLR, or iPhone/iPad camera) at burst. I would recommend high speed burst and not moving the camera, only letting something move in the scene, but of course you should experiment as you see fit.
• You will then need to import the pictures onto iPad via iPhoto or Aperture.
• Open f.moment and choose a series of images.
• To swipe through your sequence tap anywhere on the screen and swipe your finger horizontally right or left to move around in time.
• You can also tap on the right or left sides of the screen to advance frame by frame.
• Pinch out or double tap to move back out to choose another series.
• Tap and hold an icon for an image set to choose to hide it or reveal all hidden.
In a way it is like an animated GIF, but based on large high quality images and remains high quality and also you can scrub back and forth, not a set image speed, which is important for this concept.
f.moment is very similar to what you can do in the iPad Photos app when you are looking at a series of pictures but whereas in Photos you can only do this when the interface elements are overlaid and the images load fuzzily in this mode, in f.moment you can do this smoothly and cleanly without any interface elements visible at all.
